About VeinMed
A Passion for Personalised Care
Born in the small rural town of Putaruru, Dr Brendon Aish spent his childhood on a local dairy farm before his family relocated to Auckland. This early experience shaped his down-to-earth Kiwi values and appreciation for the close bonds of a tight-knit community.
After completing his medical training at Auckland University, Dr. Aish carried these principles with him as he travelled extensively, providing medical services to communities across New Zealand, Australia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Tonga. These global experiences opened his eyes to diverse cultures while reaffirming his passion for providing tailored, compassionate care.
General Practice
For a decade, Brendon planted his own roots locally as a trusted GP in Thames. But his technical curiosity sparked an interest in the blossoming field of phlebology - the treatment of vein disorders.
In 2017, Brendon and his family made the move back to Auckland and trained as a Procedural Phlebologist soon after. Brendon has founded VeinMed with his wife, Hanneke, who is a registered nurse. Together they provide personalised care and outstanding results for their patients.
More Than Medicine
When he's not restoring the smooth, vein-free legs of his patients, you may find Brendon in his garage working on another "restoration" project - a classic 1970 Holden Monaro. His passion for vintage cars (including the iconic 60s Kombi Van) illustrates his attention to detail and appreciation for quality craft!
Medical Credentials:
Dr Aish has a certificate in sclerotherapy and is currently doing an advanced training for the Australian College of Phlebology where he also attends all their annual conferences.
